The Sources in GaW
There are currently four types of sources in GaW.
- Court records (in Swedish)
- Account books (in Swedish)
- Diaries and memoirs (in Swedish)
- Petitions (in Swedish)
- Registers (in Swedish)
The representation of the four types of sources with the material is as follows:

Considered chronologically, about two-third of the source texts (calculated according to number of words) are from the 17th century, one-fourth from the 18th century, and slightly less than one-tenth from the 16th century. Of the 21 500 sustenance activities that are published in the database, 51 percent are from the 17th century, 32 percent from the 18th century, and 17 percent from the 16th century.
